Reservations for the Golden Tulip hotel are no longer possible. However, a special rate has been negotiated with a hotel nearby, the Maritime hotel. A special conference rate is available for the Maritime Hotel. This hotel is at a five minute walk from the Golden Tulip and offers single rooms at 85 euros and double rooms at 95 euros. Travel Information Train The easiest way to reach Rotterdam Central from Schiphol Airport is by train. Trains go every 15 minutes. Best is to plan your journey by train on the following website: http://www.ns.nl/cs/Satellite/travellers. From : Schiphol
Subway/Tram To get at the Golden-Tulip hotel from Rotterdam Central station you can take the subway from Central station (you will need a OV-chipkaart for this) heading for Spijkenisse. Your stop is Leuvenhaven. From there it is a 2 minute walk to the Golden-Tulip hotel. You can also go by tram. Take tram 25 to Barendrecht or tram 8 to Spangen. Stop is Leuvenhaven.
You can either have a flight to Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol), or to Rotterdam Airport. From Amsterdam Airport you can travel by train. From Rotterdam Airport you can take bus 50 to Rotterdam Central station. From there you can travel by train to Rotterdam Central Station.

Important information about traveling in Rotterdam To travel by subway or tram an OV-chip card is required. The OV-chipkaart (dutch) is a new means of payment for the public transport system in the Netherlands. The smart card is the size of a bank card and contains an invisible chip. The OV-chipkaart can be loaded with credit in Euros with which you can travel anywhere within Rotterdam. The OV-chipkaart is available at the RET office at Rotterdam Central station. |
